Job finder app to discover and apply for jobs nearby

The job finder app makes it easy to discover short-term contractual jobs within a certain radius of the user's location.

BROWSING JOBS

For the job feed, I took inspiration from popular apps that combine a map and a list, like Airbnb and Google Maps.

The list is a sheet that is placed on top of the map and can be pulled up or down to maximize, minimize or keep it at half height.

JOB APPLICATION FLOW

A job application involves finding a job from the list, submitting job specific requirements and waiting for the submissions to get approved before taking the job.

The requirements may include submitting documents, filling forms and agreeing to terms and conditions.

JOB CALENDAR

Once the user gets a job, their calendar is populated with upcoming shifts. Realistically, a user may have 1-3 jobs active at a time.

If a user has started filling up requirements for a job and were not finished yet, those jobs will appear under the "Applied" tab, where they can resume their application. If any submission was rejected, they will get flagged under the "Need attention" section.

DESIGN SYSTEM

The client already had an extensive design system for us to use to our heart's content, complete with customizable components and Figma variables. However, as the project is protected under an NDA, I created my own design system for this case study, while keeping all screen layouts almost identical.
